Mary Matilda (McMullen) Kelly (1850 - 1885)
Mary Matilda McMullen was born on November 26, 1850 in Clearfield Township, Cambria County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of James and Susan (McDermitt) McMullen. On December 1, 1850 she was baptized at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in St. Augustine, Clearfield Township. Her baptism sponsors were John Adams and Mary Mills, family friends.
Mary grew up on a farm in Clearfield Township, the seventh of eleven children.
On November 26, 1878 Mary married Patrick Kelly at St. Augustine Catholic Church in St. Augustine, Clearfield Township.
Mary and Patrick had two children: John Kelly and James Bernard Kelly.
Mary gave birth to James on June 17, 1885. She died from childbirth four days later.
Mary is buried at St. Augustine Cemetery.
