Thomas Daniel Brandt (1884 - 1975)
Thomas Daniel Brandt was born on February 24, 1884 in Dean Township, the son of Daniel Demetrius and Sarah Ellen (Krise) Brand. He was baptized on March 30th at St. Augustine Catholic Church in St. Augustine, Clearfield Township; his godparents were Francis Hoover and Mary Cretin.
Thomas was the eighth of nine children, and he grew up in Dean Township.
Thomas was a coalminer.
In 1920 he lived in Reade Township with his aged mother.
Thomas was the only one in his family who never married. He lived a long life. He died on July 21, 1975 at Catfish Manor in Hollidaysburg, Blair County at the age of 91. He had been the last surviving member of his immediate family for more than thirteen years.
Thomas is buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow, Reade Township, Cambria County.
