John Joseph Brandt (1860 - ?)
John Joseph Brandt was born on April 8, 1860 in Clearfield Township, Cambria County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Augustine John and Philomena (Martin) Brand. He was baptized on April 29th at St. Augustine Catholic Church in St. Augustine where his father was a founding member; his godparents were William and Susan Little.
John John was the third of eleven children born to his parents, four of whom died young. His father was 25 years older than his mother, who was his second wife. John Joseph also had five older half-siblings.
On February 1, 1886 John married Annie M. Smith in Hollidaysburg, Blair County, PA. She was born about 1859 in Bellwood, Blair County, the daughter of Joseph and Sarah Smith.
Nothing further is known about John or Annie. John is not mentioned in his father's obituary of 1899 nor his mother's obituary of 1914. Therefore, it is presumed he died sometime before 1899.
John and Annie's fates are unknown.
