Rebecca M. Krise (1847 - 1908) Rebecca M. Krise was born on April 7, 1847 near St. Augustine, Clearfield Township, Cambria County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of John and Sarah (Litzinger) Krise.
Rebecca was the ninth of her parents' ten children and the fourteenth of her father's fifteen children. Her mother was her father's second wife, and she was twenty years his junior.
Rebecca grew up on a farm in Clearfield Township; her father was a farmer. Her parents were founding members of St. Augustine Catholic Church. Her uncle Henry Krise donated the land where the new church was built.
In 1867 Rebecca was a witness to her sister Ellen's marriage to Daniel Brand at St. Augustine Church.
Rebecca never married and resided with her parents.
In 1880 she and her younger brother William resided with their mother. She cared for her mother in her old age. Her mother died in 1894 at the age of 89.
Rebecca died around November 13, 1908, probably in Clearfield Township. She was 61.
She is buried at St. Augustine Cemetery in St. Augustine, Clearfield Township. S
