Norman Alfred "Norm" Adams (1874 - 1946) Norman Alfred "Norm" Adams was born on July 11, 1874 in Bedford County, the son of Alexander Thomas Adams and Elizabeth Bunn (Feaster) Adams. Norm was the third of eight children, seven boys and one girl. He grew up in Saxton, Liberty Township, Bedford County. His father was a carpenter.
Norm, like his older brothers, learned the carpentry trade from their father. About 1894 Norm married Mary Myrtle Donelson. She was born about 1877 in Pennsylvnia, the daughter of Alfred B. and Sarah (Putt) Donelson. Norm and Mary Myrtle had the following four children: Charles Alexander Adams, Alfrred Leroy Adams, Inza Adams, and Leatha B. Adams.
In 1910 Norm and Mary and their family resided in Duquesne Borough, Allegheny County, PA. He was employed as a carpenter for a steel mill in Pittsburgh. It is thought that Mary Myrtle died about 1914. They had been married for 20 years.
Norm moved to Arkron, Summit County, Ohio soon after his wife's death. He remarried on September 18, 1916 in Summit County to Clara Jane Bellman. She wsa born on June 21, 1871 in Reading, PA, the daughter of Daniel and Sarah E. (James) Bellman. She lived for a time as a girl in Delaware before moving to Ohio. She was the widow of ___ Schultz. They had no children together.
In Akron, Norm was employed as a school security guard and a watchman at Knapp Foundry. Clara Jane died on November 30, 1936 at Porter's Convalescent Home in Akron from chronic pulmonary tuberculosis. She was 65. They had been married for 20 years. Norm died on July 15, 1946 in Akron. He was 72. At the time of his death, his sons were residing in Pittsburgh. His daughter Inza was married to ___ Behelat (?) and residing in Pittsburgh as well. His daughter Leatha was married to ____ Koening (?) and residing in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York. Norm and Clara Jane are buried in Mt. Peace Cemetery, Akron(?), Summit County, Ohio
