Mary Margaret (Adams) Jones (ca. 1782 - before 1824)Mary Margaret Adams was born about 1782 in St. Clair Township, Bedford County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Robert Adams, a pioneer white settler of Bedford County. Her mother's name is not known, but it is thought to be Mary. Margaret was one of ten children. She grew up on her father's farm in St. Clair Township.
Around 1799 Margaret married William Jones.
Margaret and Abel may have had at least six children together, whose names are unknown. In mid 1800 they resided alone as newliweds in St. Clair Township. In 1810 they resided in St. Clair with three children, two girls and a boy, all under the age of ten. In 1820 they resided in St. Clair with two girls and three boys.
Margaret is thought to have died between 1820 and 1824. |
